Unhappy Computer screw ups HELP!

I have no idea how this works, this is my first time doing this, but i needed to turn to someone for help. I have a Compaq Presario with a Windows ME operating system, lately it has been acting very weird and i don't know why! At first it wouldn't even boot up properly, when i turned the comp on it said so and so drives were automatically updated then sometimes it froze during boot up, still others it gave me a Nortan Antivirus autoprotect NAV window before the comp booted up fully, it froze on that NAV window. We sometimes were abile to get it booted up fully and when we tried to do a system restore and restart it said it couldnt restore it to that date. Finally we did a factory restore and it's working better, but it has been freezing up a lot lately and dials on to the internet at will! Usually when it freezes, its when im on-line. And usually the cd recorable drive light turns on when it freezes... ITS SO DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!! Someone please help me before I throw myself from a window! Thanks.

(ps, im not computer literate so laments terms would be apprieciated) --kenny from VA

Hi Azseroth_2002 - welcome to CTH. Go here and download and run Startup List. It will generate a log file. Copy the log and paste it back in this thread (you may have to halve it and make two posts).
