Fed up with browsers

I am currentely using IE version 6.I installed Opera-the latest one and i just keep getting opera has performed an illegal operation which is annoying
Then i've downloaded firefox setup several times and they all say they have 2 files missing.
I really like Opera but for some reason it's just playing up
Do you think reinstalling it may solve the problem?

There is a security issue here which needs to wait for the more techo members of this forum to check out. Uninstalling and reinstalling could cure the problem, but maybe not.
I personally love Opera, and I too have had continual probs with Firefox especially regarding sound.

I dont know if something has infected my computer to stop me from installing things onto it,since i have tried installing a game-corrupt apparantely,gif animator from 3 DIFFERENT places-apparantely corrupt,firefox browser and another one of their products-apparantely corrupt AND HiJack This-apparantely also corrupt
Now these all cant be corrupt,though i think the game maybe as before it said it was corrupt when my computer worked fine
