I am desperatly in need of some help with iTunes.
The situation is this; I recently reogranized a lot of my music (1,000+ songs) on my external hard drive and my internal hard drive. By organizing I mean that I moved a lot of songs from my hard drive to my external and renamed many folders containing songs by various artists. Now, when I open iTunes, I can not play or add any of the moved files in iTunes or to my iPod. How can, it at all, get iTunes to find all of the music that is now on my external without clearing my library and then readding all the songs?
I've googled this problem and have read many articles claiming to solve this problem, but either don't understand what the authors are explaining or the problem that they are explaining how to solve is not the problem I am having.
Note: I do not let iTunes copy music to the iTunes folder.
Thanks in advance!
