When I try to play back video in mtv overdrive, i hear sound, but see no video. I have had this problem FOREVER and have searched and searched for answers and suggestions, but can never find a solution that works. Any help/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks :D

I am hearing sound but not seeing any video. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?
There are two possible causes for this.

Some computers cannot display video unless they are in 24- or 32-bit color mode. To see if you are in this mode, right-click on your desktop and choose 'Properties'. Then click the 'Settings' tab. There should be a box near the lower-right which says 'Color Quality'. From the dropdown menu, make sure either 24-bit (high color) or 32-bit (true color) is selected.

You may not have the required version of Windows Media Player installed. To fix this:

Click your 'Start' menu and then click 'Windows Update'.
Go through the Windows Update process and it should suggest a new Windows Media Player or Windows Media Player Codec for you to install.

Although if you are using firefox browser There could be a problem with your ActiveX plug-in. You will need to delete the plug-in and re-install it. Close your browser and double click on my computer. Double click on Local Disk C, then Progam Files, then Mozilla Firefox, then plugins and delete the file named "npmozax.dll". Re-start your browser and launch Overdrive again. Follow the prompt to install the ActiveX plug-in. At this point you may see a yellow bar in the top of your browser window. Click on it and add MTV to your trusted sites. After the plug-in is installed re-start your browser and the video should play. If it still doesn't play make sure you have the latest version of Windows Media Player installed. If video still won't play, launch Overdrive in IE.

If you are using mozilla browser mtv overdrive will not show video.
