Temperamental Internet Problem?

Hi,

i seem to be having problems connecting to the internet.

At some moments it allows me to go to certain sites whereas other times it doesnt even open the google start up page as it "cannot be displayed" despite the google logo being displayed in the tab at the top of the FireFox Browser.

What can be done?
