I installed vista on my hp dv8230 laptop as a dual boot since I had two drives. The following are problems I found with it so far.

1. No driver available for Magicolor 2430 laser printer
2. No driver available for onboard sound card
3. Unable to turn off the tap on the touch pad. Keep opening stuff up when I touch the touch pad too hard
4. Unable to increase onboard memory on videocard. (no bios setting - all software) fortunately it has 128megs of actual memory.

One comment about vista, there is a lot of changes in the way its organized. It will take a while to learn.

Try the XP/2000 drivers for #1 & 2, and possibly #4. Still, it is a beta, so they won't have everything working perfectly. A lot of manufacturer's are currently working on Vista-compatible drivers.

It will take a while to learn.
I think I have a lot of the new interface figured out. I can hopefully write a few tutorials to ease it for everyone else.
