3D Studio Max:super sprays

wondering if it's possible to make a super spray that goes in reverse ie. the particles start scattered, and move into the origin. Basically the same effect as reversing the playback of a normal super spray, except i need it to actually act in reverse so it can be rendered in a scene with other objects animating forward. I'm using Release 3, would prefer if it can be done without a plug-in
