odd and how did i make usb work in 98 safe mode?

odd but now I can use my usb mouse in safe mode in windows 98, don't tell me how I did it, but it is possible with 98, if it was possible before, someone can show me how to redo it incase an operating install comes working around..

if u want you can try this to see if this did it,

press F8 before the operating starts and go to command prompt only and then type without the quotes:

"scanreg /backup /opt /fix"

that is what I did the last time with the reg, and then I decided to reboot after it was done by pressing ctrl + alt + del and then i decieded to boot into Safemode for a scandisk scan to see if errors were found (they were) and I never got the mouse not attached message tho, and then my usb mouse worked..

please report back to see if that worked, and if not I have several other things that might work-such as I added lines to my system.ini file and msdos.sys file so If you help me out we can find the fix to everyone using 98 with usb mouses and keyboards (well I don't know if the keyboard thing will help or not-but the mouse will-hopefully if we can find the solution..) also if this is possible I bet that there is also an cure for the resources problem...

found it in the registry i think on the resources thing its call obviousely system resouces and the code assigned is 7fffffff so maybe if we changed this we can stop the low resources problem..hey if the usb mouse thing was a reg problem, then this should work, when I get a computer up and running again one of my others of course I will install 98 and work on this.. :) maybe i'll come up with some success and fix it, then I will post the fix here first... :)
