Question Web code

Hi there!

Does anyone know of a program that will automatically take the name and link of the page you are at and include a line to show you your navigation steps on the webpage? e.g.

You are at : Home/Information/Details

Or will have have to do it manually by just including the relevant HTML code in each page?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I have lots of pages and it would probably take lots of time!

Cheers,

Tony

I think you'd need a Server-Side Scripting language (php) and Database (mySQL) to enable that.

You can actually do it without a database in a slightly crude way, if you use folders to structure the site you can use some slightly convoluted coding involving explode() to work out where you are from the URL by splitting it up using the / as a deliminator.

I know I coded this for someone on a board somewhere, no idea where though lol
