Microsoft MSRT Approx 1 in every 300 computers infected

The MSRT has removed 16 million instances of malicious software from 5.7 million unique Windows computers over the past 15 months. On average, the tool removes at least one instance of malware from every 311 computers it runs on.

That's astonishing how many people are infected with malware and are unaware of it. I see MSRT downloaded on my computer every month on the regular schedule updates from MS on the second Tuesday of the month. For those who want to run a manual scan using MSRT you can get it here.
