I have a mfg floopy disk that the slider clip on the top broke off.

Can you tell me what parts I need and how to put it back to geter, or is this just wishfull thinking

imo, it would be easier to get a new one. drives are very cheap.

In my opinion, it might be wishful thinking. Some people say that you can try to load the disk without the slider thingy. If it doesn't work, I don't know much else to say about it except trash it. I myself prefer to use jump drives, also called thumb drives. I have found them to be much more reliable than floppy disks and they plug into the usb port on your computer. They are also just as portable as a floppy disk. I personally download music and photos as well as documents to mine. On average, jump drives hold much more information than floppy disks. Understatement. Smallest jump drive I see is 64MB and flops are 1.44MB.

If you can get the broken floppy to work, copy to hard drive and back to a good floppy disk. Should work ok.:cool:
