Microsoft Xp Professional Problem

good evening.
i am trying to install Microsoft XP professional 2002 on one of my computers. the computer is a Windows ME addition. my question is this. the program installs correctly but when it comes to registration it comes up with this error:

According to our records this copy of microsoft xp professional has alreaady been activaed on another computer. If you believe you have received this message in error, please contact customer support representative by clicking ok and following the instructions.

now i know that i've installed this office on other computers. in fact it's worked fine to install it on 3 other computers. why won't it install on this one? i've never got this message before this computer? does office xp not work on an ME machine?

thank you for your time

It is not legal to install MS Office on more than one desktop and one laptop, both owned by the same person.

Now that it's been activated on three other machines, it's not going to activate again.

you need to follow simple instructions and contact microsoft if you want to activate it. However, since it sounds like you are in violation of microsofts eula, don't hold your breath.

I think you have to wait about 160days without having to call. They have always just asked me the first 3 digits, and gave it to me. Yes it works on ME as it should as I have it on 98 Gold edition...
