Excuse my newness and any intrusion into you conversation. I don't know how to enter my question which is, yesterday I was prevented from accessing all my Office 2003 files. When I go into Excel I get the message "the file cannot be opened because your virus scanner has detected a problem with the file". I have tried reinstalled Office 2003 and systems diagnostics and nothing works. Does anyone have a possible solution.

What you did was click on a thread (someone's question thread) and then posted in there. No worries,
i've moved your question out on it's own.
Under each thread (in the list of threads link above) is the members name, above and below the thread
lists are big blue buttons that say "New Topic". Those "New Topic" buttons would be what you'd click
on to post a new question.
Look through the forum names and select the best category for your question.

what virus scan are you using? You can try shutting down your virus scan to open it if you are positive that theres nothing wrong with it.
