not sure if this is the right place or not...hopefully someone can help.
i swear i have all the settings the same as i did on my other computer where it worked.but... i haev putty set up.i access that and input my user/pass and that seems to connect just fine.but i must have something messed up in the firefox connections settings.i have also seen some kind of error saying i need to have socks enabled to make this work but the 'socksv5' option checked.i dont know what else to do.can someone help me get setup here again please?do i need to change the http proxy setting line?thought it was the right one for my secure tunnel im on... 127.0.0.1 for the http proxy settings and 4567 for the port i get a page saying the below. The proxy server is refusing connections Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. * Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct. * Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. |

Is the proxy server software running on the machine you are having problems with or just on the other machine that is working?
