i connect to the internet through the

belkin 54b/g 802.11g 2.4ghz desktop card

to my homes network.

I have been connecting to the network through the software that came with it until today it decided not to let me connect. I tried connecting through windows, it worked. However it cuts me off every 45 mins which is very annoying as i run dedicated servers for games and have big downloads etc.

ive tried installing it again and again, it makes no difference

anyone have an idea.

if this should be in networking i dont mind if it gets moved.

Could your ISP be the culprit?

When you say it cuts you off do you mean the wireless connection? If so its not the ISP.

Have you tried uninstalling the network card from device manager and installing it from scratch? Also have you tried reseting the router back to factory default?

ive tried uninstalling it from device manager and everything like that, ive even tried adding modified drivers from the internet. Also when i say disconnected windows says could not keep connection to preferred wireless network, the network cannot be connected to until i restart my pc.

Also when i try to disable the network card it says could not disable, you may be using one or more protocals that do not support plug and play or your cardis not properly installed.

From what you have said it sounds like a faulty network card but i'm not sure. If you have a spare wireless USB adapter or if you could borrow one you could rule that out.
