Hi !
This is a problem I've had now for a long time. Sometimes, about once or twice a month, my computer looses contact with Internet. Mostly it happens when returning from Standby mode. Then I can reestablish contact if I:
Rightclick on the network icon ->
choose Status ->
Properties ->
Configure (network card) ->
The tab Advanced ->
Länkhastighet / duplexläge (don't know the english term, I'm using a swedish XP) ->
Value: 10 half
Choosing this makes the network restart. During this process, first the network icon gets a red cross and a text saying there is no network cable connected. Then, the icon gets a moving plus sign when the network is seeking contact. And then a balloon tip comes saying the connection is established.
I have a single computer connected to Internet with adsl. It's a router modem. It's adress type is DHCP, and the router modem always deliver the ip-adress 192.168.2.2 to the computer.
This is not a big problem for me, but a little annoying. It would be nice to solve it.
Thankful for assistance.
