As usual everyone in my area is talking about rugby, sheep and how much better the place would be if they separated us from England.:p

If there are more topical conversations going on I tend to shy away from them as I'm a big believer in what I don't know, can't hurt me.:cool:

Fine.

Same sex marriage
I have no problem with it, but I don't think calling it "marriage" is feasible, since the Jesus Freaks will never let it slide. Call it a Civil Union, and then work on having religious nuts stop claiming they own that like a trademark.

Terrorists
Justified torture (for extraction of information from known terrorists, not for identification of suspects). Again, a situation where a combination of religion and pure stupidity have a negative effect on society.

Obesity
Being overzealous with the safety of kids certainly isn't helping them keep active.

Global Warming
Yes, it exists. No, there's no certain proof it's caused by humans. With between 36-70% of the greenhouse gases being attributed to water vapor, are alternate fuel sources (like hydrogen power, whose byproduct is water vapor) really the solution anyway (assuming it's not a natural climate change)?

Racism: Will always be here. (regardless of what politicians say)
Cross-Race Marriages: In a hundred years or so, all people will be brown.
Same sex marriage: Agree with unions and not marriage.
Terrorists: Will always be here. No war will end it.
Obesity: No change. Fatter and fatter. Will get worse.
Global Warming: No evidence to support effects on a long range basis.
