Installing Router At Hotel Access Point
When Connected To A Hotel Room Wired Access Point With A Laptop, Upon Starting Internet Explorer A Password Or Question Must Be Answered. If I Wish To Setup A Router In The Room For Multiple Computer Access Or To Create A Wireless Hot Spot, How Can I Get These Questions Answered Through The Router?? Is There A Travel Router That Allows For Passthrough Of These Questions To The Computer Behind The Router? I Assume That The Question Screen Does Not Passthrough To A Laptop Behind The Router, Especially If The Router Acts As The Dhcp Server. Am I Wrong To Assume That?? I Tried Getting These Answers From The Linksys Support (since They Manufacture A Travel Router) But I Could Not Get Anybody To Comprehend My Question. I Hope Someone Out There Can Provide Some Feed Back And I Hope My Question Is Understood.
Thanks |

Unfortunately there isn't much you can do. Most hotels do computer authentication, meaning when you put in the username and password they temporarily store your IP address and put it in an access list and/or leave a cookie in your web browser. Even with NAT built into most routers, it won't authenticate properly if you could get the router to answer the questions or even pass the portal to the computers behind it.
You best bet would be to take a switch or AP with you, but the hotel may not let you authenticate multiple computers.
