Anyone help me if u can plz,

I am trying to connect a new computer to my network. I have 3 computers on it right now. I have a router, modem and 4 computers. the 3 have internet and are all setup, however i dont remember how to set up the 4th one as i got a new harddrive. How do i do this again? network connections and then what?

Modem connects to router, then the 4 computers are all hardwired to the router. plz help me :confused:

If you are connecting via ethernet cable it should be almost plug n play. In network connection do you have something called local area connection? Is it enabled? If not right click on it and choose enable. Are you just trying to give it internet access or do you have a network set up?

P.S. If the LAN is enabled on the PC and still has problems post your IP config on that pc. To do this go to start then run. type cmd and press ok. Then type:

ipconfig

and post the results

ok, i am completely stupid, i fergot to install the LAN drivers!!!
