BM, it must be a setting on your system or some bad hardware. The videos run smooth as silk on my old W98SE system/650MHz/256MB/Flash 5/DirectX9c. I'm sure your system beats mine to the bone. I hope someone can help as it's irritating as heck, to be sure.

Good site, Dude. Thanks.;)

I actually took an ax to my computer couple years ago. More going on than a malfunctioning PC though. But it felt good destroying that thing.

I don't know but someone in CTH does, i am sure about it but in windows troubleshooting there are a lot of stuff and also this:
"I still have more questions!
Most Flash Player issues are resolved using information in this document. Be sure to read this document thoroughly, and try all suggested troubleshooting steps. Additional information and further email-only support is also available from Flash Player Support Center."
Why don't you you send an email to them?

If it may help and you are using IE, click tools/Internet Options/Settings and increase the cache storage for Temporary Internet Files.
Mine is set to about 2GB. You can try different sizes.

I dont think that matters BM..

How fast is your Processor?

Mine is 450Mhz and these sites like Youtube,etc..... Stream 90% of the stuff at TOO HIGH OF A BITRATE for our low processors (And they dont care,i emailed google video and they dont do anything about it :()

They should ALL offer a LOWER QUALITY setting (Less bitrate)

As I stated previously, your system beats mine all to heck.
And for it to work properly one moment and then not the next moment, it almost sounds like some intermittent hardware such as a video card.
That is also why I mentioned the heat situation.
You mentioned the cache so I supplied what I know.
Does your system stream any better after a good cleaning of temp files using cleanup or ccleaner or similar tool? You may want to scandisk and defrag also. Sometimes it's the simple things that get in the way of enjoying our computer.
Run other tools such as adaware, cwshredder, good registry cleaner, etc.
I hope you can get back on track. I know it's frustrating.:hmm:

I don't believe it's a matter of which FLASH you have, each of these sites with songs need different requirements so someone should be able to watch their songs properly.... The most cabable for this situation is the site with the 1500 songs. I made some changes in my adobe flash player and i still can't watch them all properly. Some of them still skip and i have the site in both IE exception and Adobe too.

Yes, i know, it seems there are enough members in this site having the same problem..Let's say i have flash player 9, someone has 8 and still have problem watching the videos, they are skipping. There must be a connection between our computers and this certain problem somehow, we need someone more expert to check it out for us!!;)

All they have to do is not stream them SO HIGH!!!

Another site that streamed via flash also upped thier streams TOO HIGH (Kept skipping on my end) .. I emailed them and aksed why they were stremaing @ a higher bitrate then they were before (It was skipping,etc.....) and they lowered it again (They play fine)

But try and tell that to GOOGLE VIDEO and nothing gets fixed (They dont care which is sickening)

Hi, i once visited a music video site, which if you scrolled down they were explaining what to do if you could not watch their videos! Separately for Mac, Netscape, Windows etc. I found that very convenient although i didn't have problem watching videos in that site!

I just visited this (http://music.yahoo.com/musicvideos/) site and it started checking my internet speed and adjusted it so i could watch the videos properly and yes! i watched 1 randomly selected video, properly.
Check it out! Just to see if you can watch at their site.

BTW you don't have to sign in just click on any video you'd like!

Just found this in adobe-Flash player site:

Trouble with a particular web site
Always verify if problems are not actually due to problems with your Flash Player, but possibly only occurring with one particular web site. Try viewing other Flash content (for example, Adobe).

Many developers create detection schemes to determine if viewers have Flash Player installed. If there is an error in the detection scheme, you may be advised that you need to update or install Flash Player even if you already have the latest version installed and working properly. This problem with detection is beyond your control, and can only be addressed by the creator of the web site. Contact their web master for assistance.

Some performance issues are related to the way content is created. A well-optimized web site may perform better than others. These differences in performance are beyond your control, and can only be addressed by the creator of the web site. Contact their web master for assistance.
