Slow Reaction

I have a Netgear WGR614. The computer that is having the problem is my Dell 8400. Now i'm not sure whether this is a problem with the computer or the router, but what seems to happen, is that it is very slow to react to requests for short periods of time, for instance, if you click a website, it will go immediatly, but then I click to go to the next page, but it will just sit for about 2 min, then work fine again for a while. I have a 1Mbps cable connection, and the modem reads that my internet is functioning. One other thing that is strange, is that say I am on a game online, I will see everything that everyone else is doing immediatly, but there are pockets where it won't do what im telling it to, even though I see what is happening with everyone else. Not sure if you can help.

Rhannek...

This doesn't sound like a configuration problem. It sounds like a spyware/adware problem. You may want to have cyber security help you. I would but they'd yell at me
