I am sorry to be a burden on this but it is driving me slowly crazy :dizzy:
Its no burden... you just need to stop making it worse :rotflmao:I'm kidding of course.
I'm beginning to wonder if you have spyware/adware on your computer that is redirecting your DNS servers. At this point with a bridged connection with a programmed DNS server, there shouldn't be anything that makes the DNS lookup fail after a period of time (especially if she can till ping something outside the internet).
Take a look at this and make a post with a hijackthis log in the Cyber Safety forum. While you are doing that I try to find some time to do a little research on your problem to see if there is any excentric DNS problems out there that might relate.
Please do not post your logs in someone else's thread. Start a new thread by clicking on New Topic in the top lefthand corner of the Forum.
The latest version of Hijack This can be downloaded from the below link:

degsy has written an excellent tutorial to help those who have never used Hijack This before. It shows all steps necessary to post a log on this board. Click on the link below to start the tutorial:

The default gateway you pointed out is for the modem.
The first computers default gateway is not set because
you have DHCP enabled on both computers, assigning a
default IP address of 192.168.0.1 to both computers.
This is causing conflicts.
On the computer with the modem connected,
Go to start/all programs accessories/communications/network setup wizard.
Run it and follow the instructions.
When ask, select this computer connects directly to the internet.
Complete the wizard.
Do the same on the second computer and select this computer
connects through a LAN.
When completed, restart the first computer, then restart the second.
You should now have different IP's and the connection should function.

Gary, please follow my advice, we've already shown your network works fine.

Leroy, please go find the other topics Gary has created. In fact, DHCP is disabled on both computers both servers and clients (for the LAN adaptors anyway). Gary is using ICS to share the internet connection from the first PC to the second. He chose to statically assign the PCs their IP addresses. The problem Gary is having is that the DNS servers stop resolving on the second computer. It can ping the first and it can ping servers outside the local network, but it can not resolve host names. We've solved this twice by forcing the assignment and configuration of DNS servers, but after a period of time that fails... leading to my above recomendation.
Also. please look a litte more closely at the ipconfiguration. They do have different IP addresses. The reason that the first has no default gateway is so that the computer doesn't have conflicting gateways (reference the WAN connection). The default gateway for the second is set to the first because ICS is enabled on the first.

Leroy... my appologies if my comments read as lamenting. I do think its important to understand the problem and the history if there is one, but it is also not my place to be harsh on another tech.

Archangel,
Not a problem.
Were both trying to help.
Just noticed they are not pulling a default gateway
due to IP in use.

I'm not technically allowed to provide advice on hijack this logs. They take them very seriously (there has been erroneous damage caused by people who don't know anything about hjt so they have a special group for it now).
Although, after looking at it, I don't see anything odd about what you have running on your computers. Perhaps the cyber security experts will see something though.
I'll check around and see if I can find something out for you.
