If you'd like to post jokes that may be of an ahem...naughty nature, can you please add to the subject, that the joke is an "Adult" joke, just to give our viewers here the option of not wanting to look!!! :)

Thank You.

Dave.

That is a good idea, personally i think all the jokes should be fairly clean.

I have always had problems with the 'Adult' tag being assigned to books, films, jokes, etc. that are of a "naughty" (dirty) nature. For one thing, I am an adult and want nothing to do with them. Also, what are we telling our kids -- that when you get to be an Adult you can then enjoy dirty jokes?
Thanks, though, for the suggestion of warning labels.

If you want to talk about giving kids the wrong impressions, why don't you consider teaching kids that there is nothing wrong with "dirty" jokes, and definitely nothing "dirty" about them. It bothers me how the human body in any aspect, especially sexual, can be considered "dirty" or not suitable for children. Are children blind to this world we deem the "adult" world simply because they are "not old enough" to be a part of it? Anyone who isn't so overly insistant on censoring every "bad" word in a song or buttcrack that slips out on television can see that trying to hide these things from children only add to the negativity these things seem to possess in society. What if - now this is a big what if so prepare - children are taught that there is nothing wrong with a sexual joke and that it is NOT "dirty"? Can't we just teach them that there is a time and a place for it, rather than applying a negative aspect to all things of the sort? Wait, I have a better idea! Why don't we just tell the kids that clothing is actually a part of our bodies that we have the option of changing periodically and removing only under the most extreme and necessary circumstances. That way, they won't even know of nudity in any form! Let's see just how sheltered we can make the next generation, because - it's so obvious - that will make all the horrible, horrible things go away, won't it?

Forgive me if I don't always put things in the best terms, I was never very good at explaining how I felt about something. All I know is that if you are offended by a "dirty" joke (there's those quotes again), then there is something wrong with the way you were raised, and you need to quit sheltering yourself and those around you and take on a new perspective of the world.

Of course, this is just my opinion and I have no problem with being the only one who feels this way, but just note that standing alone doesn't make you wrong. Today's mighty oak is just yesterday's nut that held its ground, right Harrie? :)

Certainly. In the privacy of your own home. Not here at CTH. :) The Adult tag still stands.

I meant to add that I do agree with the "Adult" tag here at the forum, simply because it coincides with the way the rest of the world works, therefore it is what works best here (and we all know how important it is to MishY that things work well here - just look at this place! ). It's the way the world works in general when it comes to this topic that I don't agree with, zip. Thanks for reminding me to add that. :)
