Cheeky caaaaaaaaaa, I think it's some sort of grasshopper, though I told the kids it was a flesh eating marrabooboo.

If that's the size of your fleas, I'd hate to see your roaches.:hmm:

It's alright Nick, heard you the first time mate.
Grasshopper, it were. Cacked myself when it flew past my earhole and hit the lappy screen. Shouldn't sit out in the garden typing late at night, I suppose.

I used to live in a state that had these bugs that look like giant cock roaches and could fly (talk about nasty). They used to come up through our drains.

When the nuclear bombs stop exploding and radioactive fallout has killed all human and animal life, these will live on:

The American cockroach (or Palmetto bug) is about that actual size.
And guess what? It can fly.
It can also run about 100mph if you miss it on the first swat.:dizzy:

I stayed at a motel out in the boonies in Arkansas about ten years ago.
Two things stick in my mind:
1) The sign in the bathroom saying "Please do not use towels to clean guns and boots - use the rags supplied"
2) The feeling of my first ever cockroach "step on" when I went for a pee in the middle of the night!!! Ych-y-fi, it was REVOLTING
3) (OK, I cn't count) the postcard at the front desk with a mmassive mosquito on it and the caption "State Bird".
Dan, I think it was out near Stuttgart or somewhere on that road.
