It took surgery to save a 12-foot Burmese python after it swallowed an entire queen-size electric blanket -- with the electrical cord and control box.
Why didn't they just kill the dam thing. (non snake lover here) :)

Better story: Snake swallows electric blanket, catches fire, snake and house burn up.:D

No accounting for taste. Since snakes do not chew, as humans do, they can not taste. So if object is warm, it will try and choke it down.
Ever see one of those little snakes eat an egg that is 10 times larger than their mouth? Their jaw disconnects and allows mouth to slowly extend around the egg. Pretty amazing to watch.:happy:
