I use mp3blaster (console ncurses-based program) via ssh + wireless headphones.

Thanks Kage, I will have a look at that now.
amaroK can play mp3s now, but Sound Juicer CD Extractor won't rip them, will only rip ogg etc.
Is there any better ripping software?
What is the best one around?

Also I need a FF plugin or somthing to play wmv streams in browser.
Channel4 now let you watch any program over the internet, but they only work in browser(streaming) and they are all WMV!!!
