getting cds to run

i have just installed xandros linux 2006. i cannot figure out how to get cds to run. i go to run and type in "run," "install," etc., whatever the disc instructs, but they will not run. can anyone please help me?

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking. If you are looking for a cd to autorun as when you want to install software in a Windows environment, I hate to tell you this, but it just won't happen. If you mean that when you insert a CD you get nothing in your file manager, it is likely that your automount utility is either not installed or not working correctly. You may have to mount your CD drive manually ie:

# mount -t /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom

Please give us more info on the problem.
