Hi, I have tried to uninstall bootvis and cannot. I searched Microsofts website for info on uninstalling this program, since they created it, but no luck. It is causing my system to hang up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you get an error message or is there some other reason you can't uninstall?
BootVis is dependent on the Task Scheduler and COM+ Event System services.
Disabling these services might help. Don't forget to set them back to your default settings afterwards.

Hi, I did use the add/remove programs to remove it and windows reports that it is removed. However, whenever I rebooted my computer, bootvis would try to run and report that a file was missing, when I clicked ok, then the system would lock up. I then reinstalled bootvis, which overwrote the previous installation. I did not run bootvis w/the trace feature, in fact I did not run it at all so now my system is not locking up, I just want to remove it completely from my system any thoughts on how that can be done? Thanks:embarrass

On startup bootvis will cause problem. Thats what ur saying right. If so manually delete it and go to msconfig and remove its appropriate entry from startup category

I tried to manually uninstall the bootvis files but got the message: Access Denied.
I also removed it from the start menu using msconfig. It restarted itself.
I found if I never run bootvis, I have no problems. I would still like to remove it from my machine. Thanks for the help.
