View Full Version : Opening Word documents in MS Works

I have been having problems opening Word documents in MS Works.

I do not have any version of Word on my computer.

Any advise for me will be welcome.

Hi there and welcome to Cyber Tech Help.

Works word processor doesn't natively support the latest Word .doc formats.
You have a few options...
1) - Re-Save the files using Word in a Works compatible format (only practical if you have access to Word elsewhere)
2) - Use Microsoft's free Word Viewer - you will be unable to edit the files.
3) - Install the free Office suite OpenOffice.org - You will be able to open and use virtually any office file, not just Word.
