My Xbox will only play authentic audio CDs and none that I have compiled myself. Is there a way of sorting this out so it will?

Cheers

Are you using wav files that you've created? :)

Maybe XBox has some coding in it to stop this being allowed, if there is such a thing!! :(

I've done CDs that have MP3s on them and stuff converted to the normal audio CD format (yunno .cda). It just says that it doesn't recognise the disc. I wanted to make some soundtracks but it work work with my own CDs. I found another post somewhere on the internet saying that they couldn't do this either but there was no solution to it. I was just wondering if there is actually a way around it?

Welcome to the world of Microsoft. Please enjoy your stay.

They put everything in the X-Box to prevent burned CDs from working.

But is there a way of getting round this? An app or something... thats what I want. I know of a DVDapp that allows you to play different reigon DVDs, surely there is one similar to this for audio cds?

Well, I've found a way. Solved my own problem...

The XBox will play CD-RW but not plain old CD-Rs. I just got a CD-RW disk, erased it, put some tracks on it in Nero using the AudioCD mode and ripped them. I then put it in my XBox, copied them and then went back to Nero, erased the disk again and then put some more audio tracks on it and copied them again to the XBox.

Sorted, Fank-U-Bye
