Compiled HTML Help Files slow to load

HI
This is my first post.
I am running an amd athlon 64 dual core with 2gigs of ram
and just recently all my chm help files starting taking a couple minutes
to display.The only changes I really made was to remove the trial version
of office 2003. I am using windows xp media editon.
Any suggestions?
