Alright, so I system restored back to messenger live..... so I'd atleast be able to go on messenger... but, I'd still like to know how I'd be able to get back to MSN 7.5 Messenger...

Also, I run a program called a-patch, but right now it wont let me open two different messengers at once.... I was able to before with the program...

Hi

Download killbox from here.

Install it. Browse for the version of messenger you want to remove. Check the box which says "delete on reboot". Hit the symbol with a white X on a red background and reboot. You should then be able to re-install 7.5.

Let us know.

Cheers

Done.

The files seem to be removed, but when I ran Add or Remove Programs....msn messenger is still listed on there...... I havnt tried to re-install messenger yet, but I'm just curious if it would be affected by the messenger still being present in the program list??

Hi

Have you tried removing it from the add/removing programs list again?

Hi

Remove all entries of messenger using killbox and then post back.

Hi

Go here and download hijack this. Save it to C:\Program Files and run the program.

Click Config - Misc Tools - Open Uninstall Manager again.
A list of the entries in Add/Remove programs will appear.
Click to hilight messenger (in whatever way the name is listed there).
Then click Edit uninstall command.
If the file/folder listed there has already been deleted by you, then click "Delete this entry". That should eliminate it

Cheers

Well, the only thing that seemed to change was having a remove button on add/remove program...
