Angry My old windows 98 Hard Drive can't be read in win2000!!

I recently formatted my C drive, and installed windows 2000 professional on it. Then I reconnected my 2nd hard drive, which has a lot of stored data, and when I try to start up the computer, windows 2000 returns an error in a blue screen that says "INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE" , what do i have to do to make windows 2000 read the data on my old hard drive? I really need some of the stuff on it. Thanks!

Was there an operating system on the 2nd hard drive? Did you jumper the second hard drive as a slave? Need to know how you have your different drives hooked up?

It';s set as slave, and the pri. master set as master. The old hard Drive is installed under wuindows 98, but since it only has data on it, I don't think it's a big Problem right?

Doesn't matter what it was installed under since it is not operating system dependent. W2K should read the drive.

Reboot and then hit DEL key to get into SETUP (CMOS), make sure the boot sequence does not have the slave drive 1st.

Set it to boot:
1. C
2. A
3. CDROM

Next do an AUTO DETECT and see if it see's the slave drive, follow the screen prompts.

Now

SAVE & EXIT

See if that fixes it.
