Since about 4 months ago, my computer hangs when I access content on the web. Say when I listen to TWIT(mp3 podcast) and I want to just listen to it within Firefox everything seems to freeze for 2-3 minutes after clicking on the download link. Web videos are the same way, sometimes they lose frames and skip and sometimes they cause freezing for 2-3 minutes. I don't havea ny viruses, no spyware and it does it even without the use of my firewall(Kerio).
Athlon XP 1800+ 768MB DDR 1.5+Mbs broadband Any suggestions? I noticed Firefox uses almost 150MB! Last edited by FGT; August 6th, 2006 at 02:39 AM. |

Yes, I tried it with Beta 2 IE 7 for about an hour of surfing and it happens.
Firefox is up to date with 1.5.0.6

It just happened again while downloading TWIT 64 and I was actually able to launch the task manager before it got too bad and Kerio jumps to 97-98 CPU during any MP3 or video downloading which seems to cripple my system!
What can I do? I like Kerio because it blocks Ad's and it seems pretty secure for a software firewall. |
