outlook help please

i have outlook 6,when it goes to check for new mail it will hang and i check whats running it has this dumprep.exe running wide open.i shut it down and and restart outlook and it fine for a little while.any help please.

you could try reinstalling it in case it is corrupt
have you got the latest update here

still having problems please let me know

thank you!this is what i found out,but when i go in and check for it it is not there.

The Windows XP-based computer may run slowly and you may receive Dumprep.exe error messages

While a Microsoft Windows XP-based computer starts, the Windows XP-based computer may run slowly. Additionally, you may receive Dumprep.exe error messages.

CAUSE
This issue is typically caused by hardware issues or damaged registry entries.

WORKAROUND
Warning Serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly by using Registry Editor or by using another method. These problems might require that you reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that these problems can be solved. Modify the registry at your own risk.
To work around this issue, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Use the System Configuration Utility to disable the Dumprep.exe tool
1. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Click the Startup tab.
3. Click to clear the dumprep 0 -k or dumprep 0 -u check box, and then click OK.
4. Restart the computer.

Method 2: Use Registry Editor to remove the Dumprep.exe entry
1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.
2. Locate and then click the following registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
3. In the right pane, click Dumprep, and then press DELETE.
4. Restart the computer.
