I am running windows 2000 with 128MB of RDRAM and a P4 1.3Ghz Processor. Periodically I will get the error:

"Your system is low on virtual memory. Windows is increasing the size of your virtual memeory paging file. During this process memory requests for some applications may be denied"

I hit Ok, and everything is fine. Do I need to address this. I will see this msg at least everyother day.

Thx and Happy New Year

Troy

Are you running Norton (http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/nip.nsf/e584eff20b611f7988256a9b007e63c1/7f4761e776f63f3488256b82006dee3b?OpenDocument)?

In Windows2000
System properties
performance(tab)
virtual memory

Are you running out of free space on C: ?

Then try setting the virt-mem to equal triple your RAM amount
reboot
run for a bit then set back to auto on virt-mem
reboot

can you give me the path to get to that area. I go into my computer properties , system properties, performance options and see where I can change virtual memory settings. But it doesn't look like the way you decribe... I don't see an auto function.

Thanks
