transparent back grounds

Ive been playing with animated GIFs with transparent back grounds and all of a sudden I cant make the back grounds transparent any more, I'm using PSP7 and its shows that they are transparent, but when I go to view them there is a white back ground.
Ive set the color for the transparency's at white 255 255 255 and the back ground I'm using shows 255
this is one that I was able to get to work

and heres the next one I couldn't get to work

if your background is set to white it wont show but any other color and its not transparent.
any help would be appreciated

The second one has several different background colors that are not white, but very close. Some are a composite of 252,254,251 or 252,253,251 and a few other similar colors which won't show transparent. A little cleanup with a selective color replacer should fix it.

Incidentally I checked it with HTMLColor, it's a really handy freeware tool.
