The rules were never setup to be overly restrictive - that's not who I am and not how I like things. But politics and religion topics serve rare intellectual purpose on any forums other than to cause arguments and insane one-upmanship contests between insecure people that need to reassure themselves that their beliefs are right. CTH is a community with the members at the very core. The few rules that CTH has are there to preserve the kind friendly family atmosphere that it has been about since day 1.

Ah I see, well of course I definitely agree with that rule - but I think that would be interesting section though, so what if they arguing? Let them, it's not like they're going to take over the whole forum and everything, they can keep it real over there in that sub section....everybody got different options and thoughts and beliefs, so why not have a rule stickied in that sub section too?

We can just discuss not only just politics and religion, but just OPEN FOR INTELLECTUAL TALK OR MINDS purpose, not for politics and religion-bashing and fighting purpose, ya see what I mean? So...I still think it's a good idea. You can't forget about making a rule up there though, too.

Also, may I add - for example, we can be just able to post up major or detailed news or articles about what's goin on and discuss about it, about EVERYTHING on intellectual purpose, not only politics and religion.
