The new quote button. I hit it in a thread earlier and the quote came up again later while answering in the same thread, I couldn't get rid of it. Had to highlight and hit delete. Hope this makes sense. :dizzy:

I am unable to read your error message - all blurred when I try to blow it up. Are you running any type of popup blocker> if so, try clicking on the button while holding the ctrl key.

for me to open it, I have to right click into new tab. In other words my popup blocker is working. Try pressing the ctrl key as you click on the button.

I seem to have pop-ups enabled here. When I click on the new quote button it changes colour and is either a plus (+) and grey coloured or a minus (-) and orange coloured. Holding down ctrl doesnt seem to have any effect. What is the new button actually supposed to do? When I hover my mouse over it, the address link appears at the bottom of my page so somethings happening

It is supposed to activate a multi quote thing... which it does. Mine seems to put the quote onto some sort of clipboard though which I have to manually delete. :hmm:

To be honest, I am not sure what it does. There may be info in the new features thread that was started a couple of days ago. I have not read it yet so shame on me. I believe it just opens the reply in a new window with quoting instead of the same window. At least thats the way I have been using it.

I just read the other thread (http://www.cybertechhelp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=127170)
Looks like its main fuction is to multi quote from several different messages within a thread. Click the icon in all the messages you want to quote and each one will turn red. Then click on post reply and every message you wanted to quote will be quoted. So disregard everything I said before.

From the new features thread:
The Multi-Quote feature is actually far more powerful that you might first think.
Select a post to quote from a couple of different threads (the icon will change colour and the + will change to -) then go to a completely different thread and post a reply and you can quote those multiple posts in that reply by selecting You have selected # post(s) that are not part of this thread. Quote these posts as well, or deselect these posts.
It is supposed to activate a multi quote thing... which it does. Mine seems to put the quote onto some sort of clipboard though which I have to manually delete. :hmm:
dammit - that's probably a good estimation of what it does. It copies any post you mark to a "clipboard" and allows you to build up a series of quotes from multiple threads (as I did above) and post them into one reply. If you have heaps marked and don't know where they came from, the quickest way I have found to get rid of them is to post a new reply and select the deselect these posts that shows up under the reply window.
dammit
August 12th, 2006, 11:57 PM

I don't see deselect these posts :hmm: That message only shows up (just below the reply box) when you have a quote selected from a different topic, not the one you're in.
