Hello,
System Crashed!!!!!
Just Formatted system and installed Win98.
system was working fine. Went to re-connect
Floppy drive. Turned on P/C it booted.
Then screen Tweaked started giving me some warnings. I freaked and rebooted. System came back on and then Menu to select safe mode and etc. It Hi-lited the (5) COMMANDS
I entered and C:> came up. SO I RE-BOOTED.
Same thing I selected (4) configure. I went thru that (Y) on it all. System went to scan disk then BLUE SCREEN came up saying device required is not available (VFAT) STSTEM LOCKED ( or something like that)
Needless to say I NEED HElp

Hello Fred

I am a little  about your post.

Try this: Disconnect the floppy and reboot. If you get a normal boot,(with the exception of a complaint about the missing floppy drive)then this will confirm that problem is related to the floppy (or not).

If the problem has gone away then the issue is with the floppy controller or the connection to the FDD. Ensure that the ribbon cable is connected to pin 1 at the MB and at the FDD.
