No minimizing here.

When I click the minimizer button, the page is closes. Nothing is minimized with an icon at the bottom of the screen. Wha' happened, and how can I fix it?

If you hit ctrl + alt +del can you see the window there in applications.
If not then your windows explorer might have got messed up
