Outlook Express and BCC

A friend uses Outlook Express with Win XP. When he puts names in the BCC field, the names and/or email addresses are visible to all recipients of the message. I think this shouldn't happen. Am I right?

I use Outlook and don't have that problem.

Is your friend sure he's using the BCC field and not the CC field? The BCC field is not always enabled by default.

To enable it, in Outlook Express, open a new message window and up at the top click on View. If there's not a check beside "All Headers," click it to check it. The BCC field will then appear.

You were correct. My friend was not using the BCC field correctly. I had to go over and see what he was doing. All is well now. Thanks for the reply.
