Don't understand this behaviour........

I was trying to help someone with the update of their video card and what I thought would be a viable solution as his computer and graphic card fit the solution I found.

I'm trying to help the OP and go through the process of eliminating various obstacles in getting the update when a member of the CTH staff, not MurrayS, basically told the OP to forget about updating the card and settle for what you got.

What has this got to do with the way CTH is run or the CTH website.

You have posted your suggestions and another member has posted theirs. If you have a disagrement with the reply then politely disagree and post your reasons.

No reason to post it here.
