it's not a DNS error
It was when I first tried to view it last night, but it's OK now.
You certainly have a lot of icons on your desktop.
Is that what I should be noticing?

It's local tradition to show off one's PC wallpaper. Or something. I don't know, maybe it's a Queenslander thing.

what the hell are you guys arguing about? I found this really funny background so i thought i would put it up here to show you guys how you can make something look like it's the actual OS... I was trying to make it look like Microsoft brought out a new Windows XP Edition (The Hacker's one)...
You people really need to lighten up a bit....

Thanks Pi,
Just saved the page.
I'm looking for away to put a brake like the one between shut down and Utilities between Games and My Documents.
I have changed to many things, lost track of what's changed.

How about being a real man and edit the command line promts hehe. Yeah just edit the bash shell a bit give the promts some custom colors and make it output system uptime, user load, and the time o' day. You are using bash aren't you? All good little boys and girls use bash right? "cough" oh yeah don't take this post to seriously its meant to be silly.

Actually, the Win32 command prompt can have its colours changed with a simple (GUI) options menu...
I'd use BASH instead, but it seems a bit pointless to load up Cygwin to let me use a bunch of commands Windows can do for me graphically :D

Hmm...
[Dundee is threatened by a mugger with a switchblade]
Sue Charlton: Mick, give him your wallet.
Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: What for ?
Sue Charlton: He's got a knife.
Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: [chuckling] That's not a knife.
Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: [Dundee draws a large Bowie knife]
Michael J. "Crocodile" Dundee: THAT'S a knife.
[Dundee slashes the teen mugger's jacket. He and his friends run away]
Eddie: Oh, and if Tom or anyone else for that matter feels like givin' them a bit of a kickin', I'm sure it won't do any harm.
Soap: Yeah, little bit of pain never hurt anybody. If you know what I mean. Also, I think knives are a good idea. Big, ****-off shiny ones. Ones that look like they could skin a crocodile. Knives are good, because they don't make any noise, and the less noise they make, the more likely we are to use them. **** 'em right up. Makes it look like we're serious. Guns for show, knives for a pro.
Tom: Soap, is there something we should know about you?
Bacon: I'm not sure what's more worrying. The job or your past.

So what is this Australian craze of showing desktops - bit like posting pictures of my kids - of interest to me and about 3 other people in the world?
