I have a strange one, I think. Most all of my fonts don't display as solid letters allof the time. It doesn't matter what program is being used or what font is being used. Even when I use the help menu, sometimes the fonts appear as outlines rather than solid characters.Anybody have a clue?
Thanks

Well I did look for an answer, but failed to find one for your problem. Is it all fonts are just true type or not true type?

It looks as if it is True Type fonts that are giving me the grief.

Ok loosescrew this is what I found about that. Tell me if that worked, if not I'll see what else I can find.

Are your fonts installed correctly?
To determine whether the font you are using will print correctly Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel.
Double-click Fonts.
Right-click the font you are trying to print.
Click Print.
Your printer will print a test page for that font.
If your printer does not print a test page, you have two choices:
Return to your document and choose a different font.
Reinstall your original font.
Note
If the font that you wish to reinstall did not come with Windows 95, it may be difficult or impossible to reinstall without reinstalling the program that came with the font. If you are unsure of the location of the font, do not follow the steps below.
To reinstall your font
In the Fonts folder, right-click your font.
Click Delete.
On the File menu, click Install New Fonts.
Use the Add Fonts dialog box to reinstall your font.

OK, Idnew. I did as you suggested. Everything printed correctly, but displayed on screen as outline only. I tried this with 8 different fonts, some that came with Windows and others that came with other software. All had same result. Outline on screen, printed correctly.

Thanks

Thanks. Looks like, from what I can tell, that this problem started immediately after I installed Microsoft Greetings Workshop and Plus. I am going to uninstall them and take a look.
Will let you know how it turns out

I have Plus also, but don't know if you can just pull a file out and e-mail it. Like the fonts. Did you try re-installing Plus?and see if you still have the same problem? Maybe it was just a bad install. Anyway I'm glad you found the cause of the problem.
