Question website aligned to left with blank space on right side(office2003 pblshr)

I urgently need to build a website and I started to do so using MS office2003 Publisher. By the way this is my first website ever. Everything went well until I almost completed and wanted to preview it. To my disappointment my site has about 25% free space to the right when browser is maximised. It is kind of aligned to the left of the screen. I tried both template mode and build from scratch(blank)mode with the same result. And I did not alter the page width in any way. I'm not even sure if I'm makin sense. My website is seems to be only 75% full aligned to left with enough blank space on the rightside to fit yahoo messenger. Mind you the site is completely viewable without anything hidden or left out, only overall width seems to be smaller. Everything else with it is just fine.
Web designers please help me on how I can get my website to full 100% view.

Wouldn't like anything better, but how? I don't know the first thing about html source and the site is not yet published. And thanks for responding. And is there any way of aligning it to center?

Well, what do you know, the answer's right in front of me. From the file menu to page setup and increase the width to desired level.
Thanks for ya help anyway.

Glad you found it.

As for viewing it 100% width, it depends on the resolution of the website viewer's monitor and the type of content whether that is a good thing or not. Sometimes narrower is better. If you're new to web design, here's some reading for you.

I don't use MS Publisher so no clue where to look for the centering option. It could be in the same place you found the width option.

I was just browsing the subjects and saw this one about page width that is near and dear to my heart. I just purchased an Acer 19" wide screen LCD monitor and many of my favorite sites use only a small (sometimes only half) of my viewable area. Usually the text is microscopic as well. I realize there's nothing I can do about it, but at least now I understand why it happens. I hate bottom scrolling, but this is ridiculous!

I got some webspace with my DSL account and plan to do a page and I won't be setting fixed limits. The webstyleguide.com site looks like a treasure trove of info. Thanks!
