Hi I am having problems with the PC when I go onto the net, about 30% of
the time when a page opens a white window opens and I have to press alt f4
to get rid of it. This never use to happen at all especially with a
particular site, however now it happens nearly all the time. Can you help me
in getting rid of this for good? When I go from the home page to a link
within the site this page appears twice then the page opens and viceversa
when I go back. it is a real pain

Are you talking about your browser goes to the site OK but then another window also pops open. Some sites are beginning to get a lot of these ads that open in a different window. I just X them out. Or are you talking about something different? Which browser are you using?

Hey there GTR, welcome to Cyber Tech Help.
Nice to see another Kiwi aboard.

What is the address (url) of the site you're having the problems with?

If it's "embarassing" send it to me by email or private message here (see the bottom of the main forum listing page).

I'll check it out and let you know if it's site specific.
As Idnew says, many sites now include popups (not just adds, affilliated sites etc).
