i reinstalled win95 on to my grandmas computer (she had an upgrade version from 3.1... shudder) and now.. its wierd http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif like real wierd.

nothing ever gets this wierd. .. so yeah i had installed works v4 or something and laplink pro, left the computer sitting by itself for about 2 weeks then went back to finish copying some documents across and..

this is wierd.

wierd i tell you http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/smile.gif

windows intermitantly shuts down.. ie: goes to the 'it is now safe to turn off your computer'

first time it happened was directly after startup second time... after about 5 miuntes.. it happens without warning and for.. no apparent reason - i checked the reigstry in the run bit cuz i knew of a virus that did that.. but nothing.

its a 486 dx2 66 with 16 meg of ram.. if.. you need to know that http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/wink.gif

since i been dealing with win95.. which is.. since it came out http://www.cybertechhelp.com/ubb/biggrin.gif never seen this.. any.. help.. please.. uugh.

I'd just try re-installing it over itself first. Something might have just got left out. Try that first and see if it still does it.
