Hi,
I'm running TweakUI v.1.33 (downladed from MS) on Win2K, and I love it except for one thing. I DO NOT have an "Add/Remove" tab.
If anyone has a clue why this is, I would appreciate the help.
Thanks,
Giraffe

The Add/Remove tab isn't available in that version of TweakUI. It was available in the version that was originally shipped with WIN98, but was not included in later versions.

Thanks GretaP
for your fast reply!
I did wonder about the version.
It does seem, though, that every reference I find on the net involving using TweakUI with Win2K has v.1.33, and they ALL talk about the Add/Remove function. So I didn't understand why it wasn't there.
So, if you're willing to provide additional help, do you have any idea where I can get the previous version? Or he older version otherwise not worth it?
Thanks much!
Giraffe

The only other version of TweakUI that I can find for d/load is version 1.1 for WIN95.....I don't know if it would work in 2K, though, but here (http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUToys/W95PwrToysSet/Default.asp) is the d/load site.

As an added note, I once recommended a tweaking proggie called X-Setup (http://www.xteq.com/products/xset/index.html) to someone who wasn't satisfied with TweakUI. They loved the X-Setup proggie.

I just checked my TweakUI 1.33 on my Win2000 sp3 machine
and it is not there. It is however there on my Win98 machine
with TweakUI 1.33. Very strange. :)

I d/loaded and installed TweakUI v1.33 on my XP partition and, as with Theoran, the Add/Remove tab was not there. Maybe it has something against NT-kernel-based systems.
