I recently moved and I'm working from a WiFi connection in a hotel. Everything is good but my firewall keeps flagging a ntoskrnl broadcast attempt. Not sure broadcast is the correct term, but it tries to connect to an outside source about every 15 minutes.
So let me know if you have any helpful ideas
Many thanks
Simon

If you do ctrl+alt+del then click the processes tab look in the list of running processes. Do you see ntoskernl listed there post back and tell us.

The ntoskernl is used for netbios info but normally doesn't ask for internet access. My advice is to do a system wide virus scan just to be on the safe side, but for now in ZA just dissallow it from accessing the internet.
